Offecct
Offecct was founded in 1990 in Tibro, in southern Sweden. Headquarters, factory and showroom are still there today and were redesigned in 2005 by Claesson Kovisto Rune Architects. This young company manufactures easy chairs, sofas, chairs, tables and acoustic wall panels for commercial and domestic interiors.
The company name is an imaginative concoction of the Swedish word
offentlig (meaning public) and the English word affect. The play on words grasps the very core of the company; to affect public space and generate creative meeting places. Several public spaces all over the world have been furnished with pieces from Offecct. A few examples are Dansk Radio, Copenhagen, (Denmark), MoMA; The Museum of Modern Art, New York (USA), Sfera building Restaurant, Kyoto (Japan).
Offecct collaborates with renowned international designers. The portfolio is continuously updated and the modern furniture design reflects clear Scandinavian style. The design management ensures the Scandina-vian touch under the supervision of Eero Koivisto.
